Cynthia Love is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical background includes experience in psychiatric emergency care, telepsychiatry, medication management, and the treatment of a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and substance use disorders.
Her approach to care is thoughtful, practical, and individualized. Cynthia believes that good psychiatric treatment begins with understanding the full picture of what a patient is experiencing, how symptoms are affecting everyday life, what has been tried before, and what the patient hopes to improve. She combines careful assessment with evidence-based treatment and works collaboratively with patients when considering medication, therapy, lifestyle factors, and other supports that may contribute to long-term stability and wellbeing.
Patients can expect visits that are thorough, conversational, and focused. Cynthia places a strong emphasis on helping patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, medications, potential side effects, and the reasoning behind clinical recommendations. Treatment plans are regularly reassessed and adjusted based on progress, tolerability, safety, and the patient’s goals.
Above all, Cynthia wants patients to feel comfortable asking questions, participating in decisions about their care, and leaving each visit with a clear understanding of the plan moving forward.
Care should feel personal, informed, and purposeful. That is the experience she strives to create at Avenelle.
